Video Snapshot Wizard enables users to take snapshots directly from a movie or video. It is compatible with most popular video formats, and users can go to any point in a video clip, capture a freeze frame, and save this image to the hard drive in a chosen image format.
The program's interface is similar to Windows Media Player. On the left, the video is displayed along with the playback controls (play, pause, etc.). There also is a trackbar with which you can select the intended playback position. On the right is the thumbnail view, where all the captured images are displayed. And at the bottom you will find different function and options.
Video Snapshot Wizard accepts AVI, FLV, MOV, WMV, MPEG and plenty of other video formats. In addition, users can edit captured frames with a simple included editor, which supports batch editing. With the editor, users can crop, resize, and add watermarks to the captured images.
The GIF animator function allows creating animated images (GIFs) from a set of taken snapshots, where users can define width, height, loop points, delays and more.
New features include setting up a selected snapshot as wallpaper. One great advantage against competitors is the program's continuous capture function, which allows capturing multiple images depending on the clip duration. Moreover a 10- and 50-frame capture was added for getting multiple images without having to customize a continuous capture.
