uSeesoft Total Video Converter is a multimedia conversion utility. It can be used to convert both video and audio files from and to a variety of formats. After spending some time with this application, I can say that it isn't really innovative in any aspect. Its graphical user interface looks almost identical to every other shareware video converter out there. The application doesn't have the best format support, but it will be able to process AVI, MP4, MKV, MOV and other formats without any problems. In terms of speed, this application won't surprise you; it is average here as well.
As far as features go, uSeesoft Total Video Converter has all the features that you can expect to find in a converter of this type. There is a menu with conversion profiles for some devices, a video editor that lets you trim and crop your video and adjust some of their properties, and a preview window that shows you the video while it is converted. You can disable this preview to make the process faster. The app also lets you pause or abort the process.
I tested the application with a 720p MKV file which I converted into the iPad HD H.264 profile. The process got stuck after 10 or so minutes (the original file was 5 minutes long). I aborted the process and tried to play the converted file. MPLayer was able to open it but it was choppy and it somehow played at a faster speed than the original one, which distorted the audio considerably.
