Tipard FLV Converter for Mac is a multi-format video converter. Although that "FLV" on the applications title might seem to suggest that it can only open FLV files, it actually can open a few more formats, and it can convert them into the most popular formats out there, both for video and audio. The supported input formats are WMV, ASF, 3GP, 3G2, FLV, SWF and F4V for video and MP3, MP2, AAC, WAV, and M4A, among many others for audio.
This converter looks identical to other converters by Tipard. It even has the same conversion profiles, same design and same features. The only thing that changes is that it can only open a few formats in comparison to the more complete converters by the same company. It is way cheaper, too.
The app comes with a great video editor that allows you to trim and crop your videos and adjust their brightness and add effects. The included conversion profiles cover devices that range from iPods and iPhones to gaming consoles and mobile phones.
In terms of quality, Tipard FLV Converter for Mac manages to do a great job of processing files. I tested it with a WMV file, which I converted into an Apple iPad 2 H.264 profile. It looked great.
