SysEx can transmit and receive system exclusive (sysex) messages via MIDI and can save and load these messages to and from disk. A long-standing problem with receiving into SysEx using Midiman (M-Audio) MIDISPORT USB interfaces now appears to be resolved. The issue may have affected other interfaces (such as the Steinberg USB2MIDI) as well.
