Rubbernet is a capable program designed to help you monitor live network connections on your Mac. This application lets you know the name of the software that is slowing down your Internet connection, informs you which apps are communicating over your network, and much more.
The only thing that bothers me about this network utility is that you need to install an additional tool in order to have access to the live connections report. After you complete this vital step, you can start monitoring network-enabled apps from your Mac.
In my testing, the program worked flawlessly. Rubbernet displayed detailed and real-time charting for each launched app that required Internet connection to function and used a small amount of CPU resources while monitoring the network.
But the feature that, to me, proved to be the most helpful was the multi-user support. To be more exact, Rubbernet is capable of monitoring all incoming and outgoing connections of any user account on your Mac.
As for the rest, Rubbernet proves to be a reliable solution when it comes to monitoring Internet connection usage. The application is simple to handle, provides you with adequate reports, and comes for a reasonable price.
