Snappy is a useful tool that combines screen capturing and image editing features in one single application. It includes different capturing modes: the full desktop area, a foreground window, objects selected with the mouse, a custom rectangle selection, and an event capture, which allows you to take screenshots of full desktop area over various time intervals and for different mouse/keyboard events. There is also a magnifier with different zooming options and web capturing features which allows you to capture a full page of any typed URL.
Each screenshot taken is added to a list on the main window and can be previewed, edited, printed, or saved in any of the formats supported (bmp, png, jpg, jpeg, or gif). The application allows you to perform multiple batch operations with your image files. You can use different filters, effects, and other drawing tools to edit your images. Also, you can change the saturation and color attributes. There is also a “Screenshot Template Designer”, which allows you to create your own templates and insert objects or text.
The program automatically detects if a second monitor is being used and lets you choose the display you want to work with. In the settings window you can set shortcut keys for different capturing modes, decide whether to include the cursor in the captured images, set capture delays, and more.
The program is not probably the best, but it covers the general basic requirements to capture images.
