With RM-X Photo Extractor you will be able to create your own stills from any AVI, MPEG, WMV, MOV, or QT video file. It allows you to work simultaneously with four different screenshots, enlarge them with its built-in viewer, print them directly with just one click, or save them in BMP, JPG, TIFF, GIF, and other popular formats.
Once the video file is loaded into the program, you can select your screenshots either by using its standard play functionality, or by moving from one frame to the next. You will find that this frame-by-frame functionality is very useful when you need to decide between very similar frames or to select a specific image which appears at a precise time within the video stream (time is accurately shown in microseconds). You can pause the video at any time and move backwards and forwards in a very simple way. It allows you to select up to four different images, and to help you decide which one to save, print, or discard, this tool includes a useful viewer to enlarge the selected frame.
The interface is well-structured, simple, and compact. However, its reduced size can only offer a very small screen to watch you videos, and even tinier little windows for the four captured images (hence the importance of the enlarging tool mentioned above). No settings menu or window is available to the user, so you will not be able to change the resolution of the image file before saving it, but the overall quality offered by default is more than acceptable.
