Polenta ScreenShot is a simple application that allows you to take screenshots in a snap. You can take screenshots of the whole screen or select a rectangular area or window. Once the screenshot is taken, another menu will open, where you can select what you wish to do with the image: save it to the image folder (a folder that you specify where all the snapshots are stored), copy it to clipboard, or e-mail it. The images can be saved in the PNG, JPG, BMP and TIF formats. Unfortunately, the program doesn't show you the snapshot, so you will have to save it if you wish to see it. It also would be great if you could take free-hand screenshots and not only rectangular ones, and if it included borders.

Also, the user interface isn't very attractive since it looks a bit old and features nasty colors. However, it is extremely easy to use and it is available in English and Italian.
