Places I'd Rather Be Screensaver is a great application that allows you to create your own screensavers. The program allows you to create screensavers with as many slides as you want and what is great is that you can type a word and download images to include into your screensaver directly from the program. The program even allows you to add a countdown, multiple images, an MSAgent, a logo, text and weather information to your slides. To add these special items, you just have to drag the items from the specified window to your slides.

Once you finish your screensaver, you can preview it with the click of a button and run it whenever you want. What is more, all the special slide items can be completely customized, including layout, motion, appearance, and display effects. Unfortunately, the program doesn't include an option to add music, sounds, or transition effects to your screensavers, which is really a shame.
