RanSim is a tool that simulates the behavior of ransomware. The purpose of RanSim is to check if a workstation is well-protected with endpoint security software which would be able to detect and prevent real ransomware attacks. The program can simulate 10 ransomware infection scenarios and show you if a workstation is vulnerable to infection. Ransomware is a malicious code that covertly installs on a user's workstation and encrypts all files it can find on the hard disk, mapped and unmapped drives.
