King Kong Capture 2.0

King Kong Capture is a simple tool that allows you to capture images from your screen very easily. The program allows you to capture the desktop, the entire screen, an active window, a selected region, an object, a polygon, and an icon. You can select the desired capture mode from the system tray, from the main window, or simply use the user-defined hotkeys. The first time you run the program, a wizard will guide you through the configuration process, but then you can adjust your selections from the Options menu. Once you make a screenshot, it will appear in the built-in previewer and you will be able to crop it, copy it to clipboard, print it, or save it in multiple file formats. You can also customize the folder where you want to save the images and choose a file name and format that you want to use. Unfortunately, the program doesn't offer an editor to adjust your images, but you can edit them using another program. The user interface is very nice and easy to use.

In short, King Kong Capture is a simple but comprehensive screen capture app, which only lacks an editor, but it offers lots of capture modes to choose from, and it is completely free.
