This utility was created for Mac users who wish to have immediate access to information regarding their IP addresses. IPAddressSentinel lives on your Menu Bar from where you can check the current IP address and hostname and copy the offered details to your clipboard.
The program is very simple to use, so you don't need much computer experience in order to handle it. Simply run it on your Mac and get the information you need from your Menu Bar with just one click.
You can configure the application to display your external IP address and/or wireless network name directly on your Menu Bar. This way, you would no longer need to move your mouse cursor to the upper-right side of your screen and click the app's icon to find the info you need.
Another advantage is the fact that the program can also send you emails containing IP address and hostname modifications. You can configure the correspondent settings in the Preferences -> Email Notifications panel.
