FoxArc Screen Capture is a simple and small program for taking screen shots of anything that happens on your screen. This program uses low resources of your system, and it's easy to use. Besides, the captured images can be exported to popular image formats easily.
The application can be used with the default print-screen button of your keyboard, although this is optionally. Furthermore, you will be able to take screen shots of any region of your screen, specific captures of any active window, or take a full screen capture of your desktop.
Moreover, once you have taken a screen shot, a small window with the captured image will appear, and from there you can save it with the following image formats: JPG, BMP, PNG, PCX, PNM, TIF, TIFF.
On the other hand, two small disadvantages are that you won't be able to take screen captures by pressing hotkey combinations, and the program is not able to run in background mode, and as a result, taking screen shots in a fast way is not possible. But, apart from that, this is an easy-to-use screen capture program with good results, and totally free.
