fitster is an application that comes in handy to people who are trying to lose weight or stay in shape. This simple utility lets you choose between three trainers, each with its own fitness programs for losing weight, gaining muscle mass, and more.
You can create a personal account in the app's main window to keep track of your progress, share your results with your friends. After you select the preferred fitness program, you can let the application run on your Menu Bar. It will notify you when it's time to start your workout session. Just click the Go button and a nice animation will be displayed on your desktop, in a full-screen mode. Your instructor will show you how to complete your exercises.
After you finish your program, the app provides you with a certain amount of points. You will surely appreciate this feature if you're a competitive person and wish to overtake your friend's score.
However, the app comes with two disadvantages. Even though on its Mac App Store page it says the program is free, you need to make an in-app purchase in order to extend the trial period. Another bad aspect is that the utility occasionally freezes. I'm not sure if it's my Mac's fault or the program doesn't work properly.
I'd say it's worth trying the app on your Mac and then decide if you want to keep it or uninstall it.
