Although DVDs are less and less used today, they are still useful as physical storage media, as well as for transfer information from one place to another in a tangible media instead of the Internet-based options. But sometimes, Windows stops recognizing our DVD drive, leaving us without this resource. Also, it can happen that the driver is recognized only by some programs but not by others.
DVD Drive Repair allows us to correct this failure. It has a simple interface, thus being extremely easy to use. You only need to push the Repair DVD Drives button, and the program will do the rest.
First, the program scans the system and searches for a solution. This process only takes a few seconds to complete. By default, the program only repairs the drive, but it has some other options. You can also reset the autorun options, and protect against autorun malware.
The program also features useful shortcuts to some Windows functions. For example, in the Tools menu, it can open your system's device manager, or create a Windows restore point. It can also open Windows troubleshooter in case that the program cannot repair the drive.
Please note that the program only solves software problems, so if your drive is physically damaged, you may need to use another solution.
The program is free to download and use, so you can check it out without paying a cent.
