ISO Recorder is a very simple tool that offers a fast and straightforward method of creating ISO images from CDs and DVDs and burning the contents of ISO images to actual discs. It also allows creating perfect copies of discs.
The most remarkable benefit of ISO Recorder is the fact that it is an extremely simple and easy-to-use application. It doesn’t even have a typical user interface, instead it can be called using the context menu entries that it creates for disc images and disc drives on Windows Explorer. In other words, right-clicking the disc image files or the CD and DVD drives and opening the Windows Explorer context menu will let you select the ISO Recorder’s entries. Then the program will open simple windows which allow you to quickly burn images to discs, create images from discs, or create copies of CDs and DVDs.
Though it’s focused on simplicity, some basic additional options are still provided. For example, ISO Recorder lets you select a specific burning speed, as long as the disc burning drive supports that speed.
Unfortunately, it also comes with some downsides, like the fact that it doesn’t support Audio CDs and Video CDs (VCDs and SVCDs), and it can handle only the ISO disc image format. Anyway, considering it’s a free tool that offers a really fast and easy manner of dealing with ISO images, I’d say it’s worth a shot.
