Croc´s World is practically a version of the old jump’n’run Mario game. In this respect, here is a central character, a crocodile, who has to advance through the levels by beating enemies and collecting gemstones. The game is very easy to play, which makes it appropriate for virtually all age groups. The controls are via keyboard and very easy to remember. Unluckily, it is not possible to customize them.
The Mac version of this game is composed of 10 levels and 2 different themes, which contrasts with those for other operating systems. For instance, the iPhone/ iPad version has 30 levels and the one for Windows comes with 60. The graphics look nice and colorful but the background music is not good at all.
It is good that the game becomes gradually more challenging. Likewise, in addition to gemstones, you can collect other artifacts, like a helmet to crush stone blocks and a stonebag to throw stones. Since the number of lives is limited, it is good you can have an extra one every 100 collected diamonds.
All in all, Croc’s World revives an old formula that is still popular among many gamers. Although it is available for free, it does show annoying ads, some of which may interfere with your game play.
