Capture-It! is a simple but comprehensive application that allows you to capture the entire screen, specific desktop areas, an active window, object, and menus. The application is controlled from the system tray icon or just by means of user-defined hotkeys. Once you take a screenshot, the dialog "Save as..." will pop up and you will be able to select the output folder, file name, and format, with an extensive list of the latter.
According to the file type you select, you also will be able to select some stamp options. If you always take screenshots of the same type and with the same output format, you can check the Auto-save feature, so the "Save as..." dialog won't appear anymore and the images will be saved automatically to the specified location. Unfortunately, the program doesn't offer a built-in editor, so if you want to edit the images, you will have to do it using another program.
In short, Capture-It! is a simple screen capture app that offers plenty of capture options, but no editing functions. The price is a bit high for what it has to offer, and I'm sure there are plenty of better programs out there for the same or less money.
