This is an archiver program that makes smaller archive files than zip by using the Microsoft CAB API.
This has a couple of advantages. First it is more efficient at compressing the files making the resulting archive smaller than a ZIP.
CAB files are native to Windows so when you click on them with newer versions of Windows, XP, Vista and Windows 7, it is opened with Windows Explorer and files can be managed just like you do in a normal folder.
