Another World is an adventure game set in a strange world. You are a scientist, running an experiment on a particle accelerator during an electrical storm. A thunder strikes your equipment, and the experiment goes wild. A ray coming from one of your instruments hit you, and you fall into a hole in the ground. You find yourself sinking into the water, and you struggle to reach the surface.
This is where the story begins. You have been transported to a strange world with weird creatures that will try to kill you. The character you control will be able to walk, run, jump, kick and little else, so you better avoid facing your enemies - the beasts.
Another World had been developed for Commodore 64 and Amiga computers in 1991. At that time, the graphics used were considered awesome (for the poor video that those computers were able to display). This version has retained the quality of those graphics for sentimental reasons. Nevertheless, you can enhance it to seize today’s equipment.
The whole game is very realistically set in a strange atmosphere. It still works, after all these years.
