3herosoft AVI to DVD Burner can help you create video DVDs. Although its name suggests that AVI is the only supported input format, it actually allows a few more, such as MPG, M2V, VOB and DAT. However, many other popular formats cannot be used as source.
The application has an interface that is very similar to those of other aplications, particularly some converters by the same developer. This means that if you have used any of these programs before, you are unlikely to have any difficulty using this one.
The program includes some authoring functions. Thus, you can use it to create DVDs structured in chapters and tittles with their corresponding menu. Before burning contents onto the disc, you can preview them and, if necessary, make a few changes to them, such as extracting a particular segment from a clip. In addition, the program supports resizing the frame and using some scenes as title miniatures in the DVD menu. Various templates are available when editing menus. Unfortunately, you may find that these templates are not customizable enough.
All in all, 3herosoft AVI to DVD Burner is an intuitive DVD creator that supports some editing functions. It has the advantage of allowing the creation of not only DVD discs but also DVD folders and ISO images. Moreover, it supports either DVD5 or DVD9. Its main drawback is related to its limited range of input formats.
