Zeeb is an open-source program designed for Mac users who wish to rename their favorite movies according to their needs. By working with this application you can also search and download movie posters, find information regarding your films on IMDb website, and much more.

After you install the app on your computer it's better to update it (you need to launch the program to do that) as the download link offered on the homepage of the developer isn't for the latest version of this utility. Then, you can start adding DVD folders and movies to the processing list and find the missing video info you require.

As you can see within its Preferences menu, this utility is packed with a wide range of options. The General and Movie Filename Formatting settings are very simple to configure (hence, you don't need advanced computer skills to get the job done) and within the Movie File Extensions panel you can select which video formats you want this app to process.

However, when it comes to configuring the Advanced settings, I'd suggest you read the text content from the right side of the screen. There you can find plenty of information that can help you set up the program according to your needs.

In my testing, I selected The Shinning movie from my local folders. The app immediately found details regarding the film on IMDb website and offered me dozens of posters to download. Plus, you can choose the new filename from a long list (the movie title is translated into a wide range of international languages).

Briefly, I'd say it's worth trying this app, especially since it's free of charge.
