YamiPod, or Yet Another iPod Manager, is an iPod manager for the Mac. It basically allows you to move songs and playlists from your iPod to your computer. It has support for quite a few different iPod models: 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, Nano, Classic, Video, etc. When you connect an iPod, the application will ask you to manually input the type of it. I have two 5G or Video iPods, and I used those to test the application. The first one that I tried wasn't supported because, apparently, I used it with a new version of iTunes and the app couldn't handle that. The second one was opened just fine and all the songs on it were listed by Artist and Album. If I had any playlists on it, they would have been shown as well.
YamiPod has a built-in audio player. Although it is not very intuitive, it does work. I say that because you need to right-click songs and add them to the queue to play them. You can't just double-click or select a song to play it.
To download a song, you can simply right-click on it and click on "Copy song". Then you need to select a destination for your song.
All in all, this app works well, if your iPod is supported.
