Wouldn’t it be nice to link them up and watch your little plane zooming across the Google Sphere (as it might soon be called) as you take the controls in X-Plane? Well you can. XPlane Centre is a simple app that connects to X-Plane and receives positional information (latitude/longitude etc.). It then centres a Google Map view on your current location, tracking you as you fly around in X-Plane. Normal map panning is available when the map is not actively tracking. A moving map complements the X-Plane experience. It provides the extra fun of presenting additional situational information, such as nearby landmarks, districts and roads that are not otherwise discernible in X-Plane’s scenery.
