Xilisoft iPad PDF Transfer is an app that lets you manage your books. It can be used to copy books to your iPad and download those already on it. It is really a very simple application that lets you bypass iTunes completely to manage your iPad eBooks. The two formats supported are ePUB and PDF. Also, although you see "iPad" on the application's name, it should also work with other iOS devices like the iPhone, iPod Touch and even the newest iPad 2.
Graphically, the application looks like all the "iPad to Mac" transfer apps. On the left you will see a list of connected devices, and under each device, a button that reads "Books". When you click on it, you should see the list of books stored on your iOS device. And you can simply check them and click on the export button to copy them to your Mac.
In my case, nothing was displayed on the list, although I have a few ePUB and PDF books on my iPad. When I tried to copy a PDF file onto my application, I got an error saying that "the import failed".
In short, the app didn't seem to work for me. As always, I recommend you download it anyway and see if it works for you.
