Xilisoft DVD Snapshot allows you to capture snapshots from your DVD movies. The application can take snapshots of your DVD movies in a variety of formats, including JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP and Flash. You can capture images one by one or use the batch-capture utility.
When you load a DVD movie into this application, all the available DVD titles will be listed. You can select one of them and preview it using the built-in player. Then, all you have to do is select how many snapshots you want to take and how far apart. By default, the application captures one frame every 30 seconds of video. But you can change this to pretty much anything you want. You can tell it to capture 1 frame every few seconds, frames, minutes, or hours of video. Or you can set it to capture 20 random frames.
There is a nice feature which allows you to create an HTML gallery of the snapshots that you take. When all the images are captured, the app will create an HTML file that you can open with any web browser or upload it to a website. The HTML gallery looks great and it requires 0 user input.
All in all, this is a nice application by Xilisoft that lets you capture images from your DVD movies in many different ways. It works very well.
