X3 Terran Conflict is a strategy game in which you command fleets worth of ships on different missions across space. Rather than just a single campaign, you're expected to deal with countless sorties and gradually improve, both as a commander and in terms of the resources you have.
There's no bones about it: this game is tough. It offers joystick, keyboard and mouse controls, any one of which must be the best for you to confront its ships, missions and mechanics. Once you learn how to play it, it's an absolute joy, and if you can get into both halves of the game, management and movement, it's quite unlike even other strategy games.
Overall, X3 Terran Conflict is an intense game, from the high-level strategy of picking ships and missions to the nitty-gritty of battling your way through opponents and keeping your units running. It makes for a fantastic game if you're up to the task of learning how to play it and play it well, and it can last a dedicated player dozens of hours.
