Worms Special Edition is a fast paced and furious strategy game where the main aim of the game is to blow the other player’s worms to smithereens. This is done by selecting a worm and working out the best weapon to use to blast away an opponent’s worm. Life force is displayed above each worm and when they reach zero they die in a hilarious way.
One of the great things about Worms Special Edition is that there are more than forty different weapons to choose from. These weapons often behave rather unexpectedly and working out each weapon is a large part of the fun. Sending in exploding sheep, old women and pigeons adds plenty of humour, even when things go horribly wrong.
With its dark sense of humour and plenty of variation to the game play, Worms Special Edition is sure to be a hit among most strategy fans. although getting stuck in holes can be frustrating, there is plenty here to keep players engaged for hours at a time.
