World's Greatest Cities 2.0

World's Greatest Cities Mahjong is an addictive board game for Mac where your goal is to match identical tiles and empty the board as fast as you can. This app also provides you with various information and photographs with major cities around the world.

A good aspect about this application is that it brings you levels with different tasks while the main goal remains the same: to match similar tiles. For instance, on some missions, your objective is to pair up identical tiles in a certain order (Solitaire style - from Ace to 2 card) or clear layers of items by finding the tile that doesn't have a pair.

Unlike many similar games, this app allows you to choose which level to play, even if you haven't already completed previous missions. Furthermore, the program automatically saves your game progress and lets you replay any level you want to.

The only thing I didn't like while playing this game was the fact that it displayed two mouse pointers, one on top of another (the Mac default cursor on top of the game's personalized pointer). The app doesn't bring you an option to disable any of the shown mouse cursors.

As for the rest, World's Greatest Cities Mahjong provides you with dozens of challenging levels to keep you in front of your Mac for hours. The app offers nice graphics, plenty of hints and power-ups, and comes with a fair price.
