World of Warships is, as its name implies, a MMORPG (Massively Multimedia Online Role-Playing Game) based on sea battles using different types of ships. For starters, you will battle against enemy ships in different seas, together with other players. You need to be careful not to shoot any of your peers, and take into account that the ship will react really slow to your commands, as corresponds to a real ship weighing thousands of tons. Also, you can shoot once, and then you must wait for your crew to reload your weapons, so if you are accustomed to fast-pacing games with unlimited ammo, then you will have to adapt to this game's features. As in any online game, you will need a good Internet connection to play it smoothly.
The best part is that you can download and play the game for free. Nevertheless, it has a disadvantage: you need to download first the Wargaming.net gaming center, and then the actual game's installation file. It is huge (up to 50 Gb), so it can take a while to download. Also, you need to have enough disk space to install it. But besides these disadvantages, if you like MMORPGs, ships, or historical games, then you may enjoy this one.
v0.6 [Jan 26, 2017]
- Fixed an issue where clan tags overlapped the silhouettes of ships in the "Team Result" screen. Fixed an issue that caused voice-overs for tasks to be played back in wrong operations. Improved matchmaker for newcomers on low levels for players whose account level is under 11 and who participate in tier 1-4 battles. Before the change, matchmaker for newcomers was used for players whose account level is under 8 and who participate in tier 1-3 battles. The change is aimed at making the game more comfortable for newcomers.
