WinMend File Splitter is a fast and reliable solution to your file splitting and merging needs. Both processes are simply and accurately performed, providing excellent results.

This free tool comes in a stylish interface designed to help you make use of its straightforward functionality without getting tangled in needless settings. All the options available are present in either of the two tabs you really need to visit to perform your cutting and joining tasks. The “Split File” interface includes just two main options – the possibility of slicing your big files into a specific number of blocks, or into portions of a given size (in bytes, Kb, or Mb). The “Merge File” tab takes you to an even simpler interface, where the selection of a source file and an output path is basically the only input required. In both cases, the program’s performance is more than acceptable, splitting and/or joining big files in a matter of seconds.

It is true that the program includes two extra tabs which are not strictly related to the tool’s functionality (namely, an overview of the full range of WinMend products, and some specific information about this release), but they will not interfere in your normal use of the program.

The output files are numbered using a proprietary extension (.W0, .W1, etc.), thus not allowing other similar tools to perform the merging process. As compensation, a .bat file is also created in the process. You can execute this batch file in any DOS window and recover the original file without having WinMend File Splitter installed in your system.
