WindMend File Copy is a simple little application meant to make file copying a faster and more convenient job than when using the default Windows file copy function. The main thing that makes this application better than the default Windows file copy feature is the increased file transfer speed, of up to three times faster. There's no clear explanation of how the faster speeds are achieved, and using which techniques, other than some vague mentions of a proprietary file duplication system. Anyway, even if it's not explained why it's faster, I tend to believe the developers of this tool in their claim, as during my testing, WindMend File Copy proved to be indeed faster than the default copy tool. Maybe it's not exactly 3 times faster, but it's indeed a bit faster.

Other cool features offered by this handy tool is the support for batch copying multiple files at the same time, in one single session. Furthermore, it supports resuming the copy process when it has been interrupted due to various reasons. Voluntarily pausing it is also available, and so is an error list that explains why file copying tasks have failed, when such thing happened. Last but not least, three file copy modes that take into consideration matching file names (overwriting or skipping) are also provided.

To sum it all up, WindMend File Copy is a nice little tool that also comes with a simple-to-use interface and a very good price: it's free. Therefore, I'd say it's worth a try.
