Windscribe is a utility that helps you browse the web anonymously. This type of programs comes in handy if you want to access a website or an online service that, for some reasons, is not available in your country.
The first thing you need to do is to create a personal Windscribe account. You can do that from the homepage of the developer. Then you will be able to log into your account from the program's interface, select the preferred server location from the offered list, and enable the privacy protection feature.
You can use 10GB traffic data per month without paying a buck. However, the amount of server locations is limited. To have access to more traffic data and unlock additional server locations you need to pay for a monthly or yearly subscription. The price rates are quite affordable and definitely worth it if you plan on using the program often.
The utility will also display the current amount of traffic data you have left for your account, encrypt all of the sent and received data, and use a small number of CPU resources while operating in your Menu Bar.
The one thing that bothers me is the fact that you need to download and install an additional tool (a browser extension) in order to block ads and trackers.
Still, Windscribe is one of the best tools I tested for browsing the web anonymously. It's feature-rich, easy-to-use, and works perfectly.
