This application can help you convert between various video formats. As source, this tool supports practically all common video formats, including AVI, MKV, ASF, WMV, RM, MOV, MP4, FLV, SWF, MPEG and ISO. However, the list of output formats is not very extensive as only MPG, AVI, WMV and RMVB are supported.
Most users will find the application extremely easy to use. The graphic user interface is based on a welcome screen where any of the target formats can be selected. Although the default configuration will probably work in all circumstances, you can also tweak the conversion parameters to meet your exact requirements. Unfortunately, unlike other similar applications, there is no conversion presets identified by the name of the intended device or purpose, which would help you avoid future compatibility issues.
The converter includes a limited set of editing functions. For instance, you can crop the visible region of the frame, change the aspect ratio and adjust audio properties. Similarly, you can adjust the subtitle format. Regrettably, the program does not allow you to select the desired subtitles.
In general, Winavi Video Converter can do its job without any difficulty. However, it is far behind other video converters in terms of available functions. In my opinion, it is also overpriced because you can find similar applications at a much lower price or even for free.
