Wild Animals Flash Cards is a Mac application designed by Education Terra for children to help them learn animal sounds and names. You can also use this nicely-drawn program if you're a kindergarten teacher who is looking for a fun way to give lessons to your pupils.
The app comes with four types of activities: a flash card displaying animal images and sounds, quizzes, puzzles, and flip book challenges (a type of puzzle where you need to connect parts of images). You can operate the app in its fullscreen or windowed mode and enable or disable background music and sound effects.
When it comes to solving puzzles, a challenge becomes available only after you complete the previous one. The app counts the amount of moves and time you use per level.
My only concern regarding this application is the fact that it occasionally runs slow. Several times I had to force quit the program and relaunch it.
All in all, this Mac utility offers you an entertaining solution for teaching children about wild animals. In addition, you don't have to pay to use it on your computer.
