WeClean is a system maintenance utility designed to keep your Mac healthy. The application includes multiple cleaning tools, which, if enabled, could boost your system's performance. In reality, most functions only scan your drives for useless files, since deleting items in not supported in the free version of WeClean.
The application opens with an easy-to-manage interface divided into two modules that group both cleaning and optimization tools. Therefore, the program has the ability to identify and remove from disk system junk files for a quicker Mac. In addition, it can find large and old files that you didn't use for long, duplicate files taking valuable space, and iTunes junk files, such as unwanted iOS device backups and apps, software updates, and broken downloads.
Furthermore, the utility can thoroughly remove unwanted apps and all associated files, manage widgets, plug-ins, and extensions installed on Mac, clean photos, and optimize the start-up. If you decide to upgrade to the pro version, you will be able to remove files permanently, not only to send them temporarily to Trash. Yet, you will appreciate WeClean's ability to set a minimum size for the files you search, the option to scan for similar photos, and configure an "ignore list" with files, folders, and extensions to be excluded from the search.
Though the maintenance features are comprehensive, you can use the utility only as a cleaner of system junk files. With these limitations, installing the free version of WeClean is rather useless.
