WebGrabber is a utility designed to download entire websites. With minimal user input, this application can download pretty much any website and save it to your hard drive so that you can browse it offline. The application is a wrapper for the Pavuk project. The app is free and the source code is included so that you can make your own changes if you want.
Using this app couldn't really be any simpler. You simply type the address of the website that you want to download and click on "Start". With the default settings, most websites will be downloaded almost completely. The setting that will influence how much of a site is downloaded is called download depth. This setting indicates how many links will be followed to download content. The default value is 5, which means that the application will follow 5 links and download all the content that it finds with the help of them.
The graphical user interface is really easy to navigate. There are four tabs with options: Standard Options, Downloading, Filtering and Output. The most important tab is 'standard options', but if you need to manage download settings like maximum speed and maximum number of files to download.
WebGrabber is a PC-based app, so newer versions of Mac OS X won't be able to run it.
