Weather for Status Bar is a simple application that lets you check weather information from the menu bar of your Mac. Therefore, you can view at a glance the current weather conditions of your location or of a place of your choice. Temperature is displayed right on the status bar, while other details are available in a popup that appears on the desktop when clicking the app icon.
The utility is straightforward and easy to use. The Preferences menu allows you to browse for and select the desired location for which the weather conditions should be displayed. In addition, you can choose between metric and imperial unit temperature display. Optionally, you can set whether the icon display in the menu bar should be colored or black & white. The popup that appears on clicking the app icon shows details related to temperature, wind speed, and cloud cover in the selected location. Unfortunately, you can't select multiple locations to view weather information simultaneously in different places.
In short, this application offers basic weather condition information that can be accessed with ease from the status bar. It does nothing more and nothing less but to showcase most important weather details in a minimalistic form.
