Weather Desktop is a program that will put weather information on your desktop. This program will replace your wallpaper with a large icon representing the weather conditions in your zone, together with the temperature (in either Fahrenheit or Celsius), and the name of the city of your choice. That same information will be displayed any time the screensaver installed with this application activates.
When you install Weather Desktop, it will rest as an icon in your system tray. You can access its features by right-clicking on that icon and choosing a desired option. You will be able to configure every parameter in the program: you can set the program's wallpaper and screensaver as your default desktop backgrounds, set it to launch automatically every time Windows starts, choose the cities whose weather information you want to see on the map, and many more features.
You will be able to see the world weather map by choosing the Earth option. However, as you will see in the banner that the program places over the map, this feature is a demo version of another program from the same authors. The Time Zone feature will show you the current time in the cities you have chosen as favorites.
