VSDC Free Screen Recorder 1.3.4

VSDC Free Screen Recorder is a Windows utility that might come in handy if you need to quickly create a video tutorial, record game walkthroughs, capture a Skype conference call, etc. The program provides you with multiple video recording settings and gives you access to high-quality output files.

This application offers you multi-monitor support, lets you choose between multiple video and audio render profiles, brings you mouse clicks effects, etc. In my testing, the video recorder worked perfectly. It immediately generated the output files, without slowing down my PC.

Another thing I liked about this program was its built-in drawing tools which could be used while recording the screen activity.

Two aspects bothered me while testing the application: it lacks a help manual which might come in handy to beginner computer users (it might be a bit difficult to select the proper output settings) and the app doesn't provide you with built-in editing options to retouch the video after completing the recording process (crop, rotate, trim, etc.).

Still, the utility comes without a price. So, it's worth giving a try if you only need it for a simple video recording project.
