Videora iPod Converter is a video converter for the Mac. It was designed to let you convert video files for playback on iPod devices. It supports a variety of devices such as iPod Classic, iPod Touch, iPhone 4, 3G, 3GS, iPod Nano, etc. Basically, what this converter does is convert your video files to the H.264 format, which is natively supported by most Apple devices. Although you do get to choose your iPod device when you start the application, not much changes after that for each device.
This whole application is made in HTML. It allows for a very good wizard that guides you step by step, but it also allows for ads. And you will see quite a few ads. They are country-specific. The app will look at your IP address and give you ads relevant to your geographical location. This makes the interface slow at times.
As a converter, Videora iPod Converter works pretty well. There are two modes: normal and power mode. The power mode allows you to customize the process a little further. I tested this app with the default settings and converted an AVI file into a file that my iPod 5G could play without a problem. The process was quick and the resulting file looked good.
