valodas 1.72

valodas is a free multiplatform, multilingual utility, which gives us the opportunity to customize our language learning project. When first installed, this program does not contain any word, dictionary, learning file whatsoever. We can follow the link to the developer's site and view the step-by-step instructions to build the content. It is possible to select our native language and the foreign language we are interested in, or choose to view what is available in general. There are many free learning materials we can download and add to the program (bilingual dictionaries, spelling files, etc.) We can download/import/create as many files as we want for one or all languages. From the user interface, we can manage dictionaries (open, rename, copy, import, export, import spellings/expressions). We can also click any of the tabbed section and start learning, playing, and practicing. The tabbed sections are: Progress, Learn, Cards, Foreign to Native, Spelling, Games, Groups, and Dictionary. This program lets us change user, and interface language. valoda 1.5 has been greatly improved, and now it features more options that makes our program navigation easier, better, and faster. When learning vocabulary, we can change the word-displaying mode (auto/manual). Spelling and Progress features are also very convenient new features.
