Tweetr is a Twitter desktop client based on Adobe AIR. Thus, it works on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux computers. The application allows you to tweet just like you would do it using the website. Simply by typing whatever you are doing at the bottom of the application and hitting enter will allow everyone following you to see what you are up to.
But Tweetr has a couple more features for heavy-duty users. The first one is the ability to attach files up to 10 megabytes in size. There is a window that you can use to drag any file that you want attached to your tweets. The upload process is fairly quick and straightforward. Perhaps the most interesting feature is the application's ability to communicate with your webcam. Clicking on the icon with a camera will open up a window where you can see yourself through the camera and take snapshots. You can also set a delay parameter, just in case you want to pose for the picture. There are three ways to look at tweets: you can see what everyone is doing, you can see replies to your tweets or go for direct messages. In short, Tweetr is a robust desktop client with webcam capabilities and shortcuts for uploading large files.
