TsunamiVPN is a free utility that lets you connect to VPN servers. Once connected to a VPN server, your computer tunnels all its Internet traffic through it, and that traffic is encrypted, so it is a nice way of protecting yourself when connecting to the Internet via Wifi Hotspots. In the case of TsunamiVPN, there is a long list of VPN servers, from various locations.
When you first run the application, you will be asked to type in a username and password. This information is located in the tutorial file, along with some instructions on how to use the application. Once this is done, you can locate TsunamiVPN on the system tray. From there, you can connect to any of the available VPN servers. There are servers in Los Angeles, Chicago, London, San Francisco, Germany, and other countries and cities of the world.
In my testing, I was unable to connect to a single VPN server. I tried over 10 different ones, and all I got was an error message saying that the connection failed. This is very disappointing since I was really hoping this to work.
All in all, the idea behind TsunamiVPN is good, but none of the servers that I tried worked.
