Trash X is a simple application that works just like the classic Mac OS trashcan for Mac OS X, but it also provides you with some additional features that can be quite useful in various situations. Simply drag-and-drop the desired files and folders you want to delete directly on the icon in order to move them to trash.
In addition to this, Trash X provides you with the possibility to empty, shred (with multiple shredding passes) or wipe the trash contents of any volume on your Mac with just a few clicks of a mouse.
Furthermore, you can set Trash X to automatically delete items from trash when your disk reaches a specific percentage or after any desired number of days. This way, you won't have to manually delete the trash every time you will run out of disk space.
Trash X can also automatically resolve aliases (deletes the original files and not their aliases) and you can easily empty the classic and the Mac OS X trashes or force delete files and folders as root with little effort.
All in all, if you are looking for an easy-to-use Mac application that offers you the functionality of the classic Mac trashcan, but with additional features, then the Trash X is a good choice.
