TorrentDam is a useful tool that searches for torrents. The app is like a gateway to several different torrent search engines, namely Btjunkie, IsoHunt, ThePirateBay, Mininova, Demonoid, TorrentReactor, SumoTorrent, Torrentz and KickassTorrents. By default, all but the last two are activated. Basically, what the application does is launch a web browser tab for each one of the torrent search engines and it uses the text that you type in the "Search For" field to start a search. So, by default, when you search for something, 9 new tabs will be opened, and you can look for the results in your web browser. TorrentDam allows you to choose what browser you want to launch the tabs in. It can detect your default browser and use that, or you can choose between Safari, Camino, Firefox, Opera and Chrome.
TorrentDam is very quick to start a search and the main window is small and unobtrusive.
In my testing, TorrentDam worked fine and all the torrent searches that I tried were carried out perfectly. I got results for all of them, and it was nice to be able to compare the different search engines to see which one offered more seeds.
