Top DVD Ripper is a commercial DVD ripper. The app allows you to convert your DVD movies into a variety of formats and it has quite a few conversion profiles for devices like iPods, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Apple TV, mobile phones, etc. For being a commercial ripper, and costing $35.99, this application is missing some key features. It doesn't have a video editor, which means that you can't trim your videos or crop them. Also, it doesn't look like you can choose different formats for different DVD titles. This means you have to convert all the titles to the same format, or run the app multiple times to convert them to different formats.
TOP DVD Ripper has a good format support. Pretty much all the popular video and audio formats are supported. The profiles cover a good number of devices as well.
The graphical user interface is basic-looking and to-the-point. I noticed that while opening the profiles drop-down menu, a few items were blocked.
In terms of performance, I think the app is on par with other solutions out there.
All in all, honestly, for $35.99, you can buy better converters out there, with more features and better graphical interfaces.
