Anyway, when it comes to file synchronization, Tonido doesn't yet look able to threaten the leading positions of acknowledged services like DropBox and Google Drive. It’s on the right path, as it offers much cheaper file synchronization options at the moment even than the popular aforementioned services. However, the main function of Tonido is to allow remote file access, and this is what it does best.

I’d also like to mention the fact that it includes a neat music player and handy photo viewing capabilities. The upgraded, commercial versions of this service even allow mounting the remote computer folders as a local drive.

To sum it all up, Tonido is worth taking a closer look at, especially if you are an active person that needs to access his/her files from many locations. It’s one of the most powerful and feature-rich applications of its kind.
