Connect your TomTom navigation device to a mac and access its files, upload or download new data, edit the maps and routes in the planner modules, install updates, create backups, etc. The utility also identifies and integrates the software components of various accessories.
This desktop utility enables you to manage your TomTom device data directly from a Mac computer. The program is packed with a comprehensive help manual, features a straightforward interface, and provides you with many useful advantages.
You can use this tool to update the software installed on your TomTom device, add new content such as maps to your GPS gadget, back up the stored information, and so much more.
Since I didn't have access to a TomTom device to test the program, I checked some of its features except the ones involving the use of a GPS gadget. The help manual and the Preferences panel can be used without connecting the device to your Mac. Other built-in tools that you can test without the GPS gadget are the route planner and the shopping utility. However, the program will redirect you to certain pages from its website and won't let you plan routes or acquire device accessories directly from its interface.
Another thing that bothered me was that the utility took a while to launch. According to several online reviews that were shared by other users, this is a problem that is encountered often.
However, I'd say it's worth giving it a try if you own a TomTom device. In your testing, the program might actually work well. Plus, you have nothing to lose if you decide to give it a shot as it comes without a price tag.
