The Tkmacicon package provides the data required to display platform-native icons on OS X as Tk images. The ::tkmacicon::geticonfrompath command takes a file path, width, and height as arguments and the ::tkmacicon::geticonfromtype command takes a file extension, width, and height as arguments. These commands generate the raw image data necessary to render Mac icons as a native Tk image.
